The Comic Relief Media Team are recruiting an exceptional media relations professional to lead the planning and delivery of UK media activity for funding partners!
You might be just starting out in your PR career and looking to work on a huge national campaign to sharpen your skills while helping to keep our press office organised and efficient. Or perhaps you are more established in your career, and want to use your experience managing big media campaigns, high profile stakeholders and partners to make a difference at one of the UK’s most loved charities.
As Senior Media Officer you will build strong relationships with funding partners, key informers and UK media contacts to deliver PR results for our funding partners that enhance their, and our, reputation, brand and positioning.
We will look to you to plan and deliver media coverage and work with internal teams to integrate PR activities into key campaigns. You will deliver stories to the media to promote the need and issues that we fund, and build awareness amongst the public of how the money they raise is spent. You will also manage the production of written media materials, identify risks and monitor reputational issues. Important too will be the ability to oversee and evaluate activities as well as analyse effectiveness and produce regular reporting.
Whether setting up interviews, answering enquiries, managing PR events or producing compelling content you will play a vital role in making funding partner relationships a success.
You must have experience of delivering national media coverage across print, broadcast and digital outlets for high profile brands. You will be used to evaluating media campaigns and developing and delivering creative ideas that generate media coverage too. Expert at planning and delivering high profile media strategies you will be used to managing multiple high profile stakeholder relationships.
You will also possess excellent communication, project management and influencing skills.
