This is an exciting opportunity to work with a busy IT support team in a leading research university.
The role comprises providing first-line telephone support to staff and post-graduate students on a wide range of IT services, along with second-line support where you will be supporting our staff and researchers with their diverse IT requirements.
Alongside your general support duties, it is expected that your role will be a good mix of support and small projects; you will be covering a wide range of activities including supporting laboratory IT and specialist IT installations within the School. You will often be required to manage your own workload, producing documentation and contributing articles to the IT knowledge base.
This would suit an individual who is self-motivated, committed to delivering a high standard of user support in a flexible and positive manner, and willing to share their knowledge and learn new skills.
The successful candidate will have good customer service skills, the ability to communicate well, and a flexible approach to working.
